Lottery is Haraam and wasting your money on lotteries is like throwing it in the trash. A better way to spend your extra money is to give it to charity in Allah's way and he will double it for you on the day of judgement. Quran Forbids Lottery, Gambling and Games of Chance.
" o ye who believe! Intoxicant and games of chance (gambling) and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan's handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed". Al-Qur'an (5:90)
"Satan want to create enmity and hatred between you through intoxicants and gambling, and distract you from the remembrance of Allah, and His worship (prayers): will ye not then abstain"? Al-Qur'an (5:91)
Each time you play lottery, 99.9% time you will lose, because of ridiculously high winning odds (1 in 292.2 million), but when you play in Allah's way, in charity, you win and hit the jackpot each time you play. Your rewards multiplied 700 times for every dollar you spend in Allah's way.
"The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah's way is as the likeness of a grain which groweth seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah giveth increase manifold to whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing". Al- Qur'an: Surat Al-Baqarah (2:261)
